Obituary: Spock's now an orphan

Sadness. Jane Wyatt, known to millions from the old TV series Father Knows Best but to Star Trek fans as Amanda Grayson Sarek, mother of Spock, has died at 96. CNN reports the story here. At least now she can say hello to Mark (Sarek) Lenard, who predeceased her by some years.

She did live long and prosper. May we all be so lucky. Thanks, ma'am, for all the wonderful memories.
