Ralph Reed gets spanked in his home state

YES! Ralph Reed, the former Christian Coalition leader who set the pattern for organizing the Religious Reich's political clout, has been sent down to the minors in his first bid for actual political office. He conceded the race for the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor of Georgia to Casey Cagle just an hour ago. This almost makes up for having to watch both of the two leading candidates for the Democratic nomination for governor here, Mark Taylor and Cathy Cox, dance to the Reich's tune and denounce same-sex marriage in the run-up to the primary (after Cox had previously taken the side of equality on the issue two years ago). Almost.
