Perfidiously plucked from [personal profile] zencuppa, among others:

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me.

It can be anything you want -- good or bad. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

So littrle to say!

You friended me, and a while later, having thought about it some, I friended you back. The problem here is that I don't know you. I am cordial toward you, and perhaps I met you a couple of years ago at GaFilk, where the vibes *have* to have been mutually positive as I wasn't in any interaction that could have been anything else. But as far as the memories are concerned -- let's both sincerely hope that you and I remain cordial as we get to know each other better; and a couple of years from now, when we've run into each other during at least one more con, you can ask me again for a memory and we'll have at least one good one to share. I hope this will happen and am looking forward to it.

Nate

I have known you for such a long time. But its been a long time since I've seen you. One of my favorite memories is of you and your lovely song bird sleeping in the living room of the house I shaired with my X.

Seeing you happy for (What I felt was for the first time in a long time) is something I will remember.

A snowy afternoon on the roadside, somewhere just past Hartford CT, when we held together and supported eath other in a crisis. You were a rock.

MilPhil, when your Songbird asked me to introduce her to you!

A lovely dinner with you and your Songbird. Fun, good conversation! During which con, though? One of the northeast filkcons, I think, though maybe it was GaFilk 2005. Which ones did y'all make it to? :-) On a Sunday, I believe.

Far as I recall, we've been to all of the last four GAFilks and all the last three non-Boston NE Filk Cons. I couldn't tell you which one we had dinner at myself for the life of me, though Mary might remember.

There was the time you and [livejournal.com profile] suecochran saw me at a con. For some reason I didn't see you. I don't know if you were standing somewhere I couldn't see or if I just didn't look in your direction. Anyway, I assumed that [livejournal.com profile] suecochran was at the con with her (then) husband, so when I introduced you to someone, I called you by the name of [livejournal.com profile] suecochran's husband.

The main reason I picked this particular memory is to point out that anyone can be inattentive and make silly mistakes. If your most recent employer thinks you were inattentive, it might mean nothing at all or it might mean that anyone would be inattentive given boring work to do day after day.

So please remember that you are a fine and talented person. Like everyone else, you make occasional mistakes because errare humanum est. I'm sure you can take steps to prevent your past problems from recurring. I wish you every success.
