Regarding Twitter.com, the site where people can post what they're doing right now, at this very moment: Am I the only one who sees an incredible level of narcissism in thinking that many people are interested in what you happen to be doing on a minute-by-minute basis, unless you're Brad Pitt or some such? Or perhaps the ultimate in exhibitionism (I can't believe someone hasn't at least tried posting something along the lines of "Boinking my boyfriend's brains out, 4:38 pm")? And who assumes that everyone they know or are related to has the kind of time on their hands required to keep track of their day's activities? Really, now, hasn't this Web 2.0 stuff now gone just about too far?

I don't get Twitter. It seems to be folks posting all the boring stuff they seem to make cell calls to do, and I don't like listening to those calls, either.

Then again, what would you call a public post on LJ? It's the same sort of narcissism, just not to that level of detail.

(So sayeth the man who makes all kinds of public posts)

There is no Web 2.0. It's a marketing myth.

In other words, meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.
