First day on the new job

Reported for work at Piedmont Graphics this morning for my two-week initial trial; even got to the area in time to snag a cup of coffee and a notebook for taking down any important stuff (thanks for the tip, honey). Met my new supervisor (nice guy, looks younger than me, may not be) and other co-workers, toured the plant, got familiarized with the server and computers, procedures and major clients, then got to spend most of the day drawing (recreating photocopied graphics for an informational booklet on diabetes for a local hospital; never knew so much about what poor sffilk goes through before!). Tired and hand carpaled somewhat...but it's a good tired. So far, so good. Tomorrow I have to start at the regular time—8:00 AM. Blech. Oh, well, it's a living...and at least as good pay as my last job.
