I just found out that Victorinox Corp. (the Swiss Army Knife people) have turned a field near Munich's airport into a gigantic billboard for their flagship product:

The copy describes this as an ad that "uses the natural environment in an unobtrusive manner." Exactly whose definition of "unobtrusive" encompasses a painting the size of two football fields (American football, that is), placed where passengers and crew on dozens of flights per day cannot help but see it? As if we weren't already rushing headlong into a future where no part of our daily lives will be free from advertising. And to think I used to want to work in the business...
