In Memoriam: Logan Whitehurst, 1977-2006
Dec. 4th, 2006 10:24 amSadness this morning. With thanks to
lukeski for the information: Logan Whitehurst, founder and lead singer of Logan Whitehurst & the Junior Science Club, has died after losing a long battle with brain cancer. He was the perpetrator of many delightful and silly songs heard on the Dr. Demento radio show, most notably "Happy Noodle vs. Sad Noodle" and "Robot Cat." Luke's page has links to Logan's MySpace page and the LJ community for his music; his own official website seems to have been taken down with the news.
My heart goes out to Logan's family, friends and fans. All Dementites & Dementoids, bow your heads for a moment of respectful silence, please. (And a donation to the American Cancer Society or other cancer-research-funding organization might not be amiss, either.)
