Here's to the Welsh, who pray (prey?) in church on Sunday, and on their neighbors all the other days of the week;
Here's to the Scots, who keep the Sabbath - and everything else they can get their hands on;
Here's to the Irish, who don't know what they're fighting for, but will damn sure fight to the death for it;
and here's to the English, who claim to be a self-made people, thereby absolving the Almighty of a grave responsibility...
(That last one was where I abso-frakking-lutely lost it; I gasped for breath and pounded the table for five solid minutes, no lie. I'm still rendered helpless every time I read it again. And about that third one: William, me boyo, my beloved Songbird
