It's Veterans' Day. Today I pay tribute to the ones who made this nation and the freedom it enjoys possible. To my older brother Damian John Leger (U. S. Army, Panama and Israel); my father's brother, John Ewell Leger (U.S. Army, Korean War, deceased); my friend
wcg (U.S. Marine Corps); my friend John Cochrane (U.S. Air Force); my sweet Songbird's nephew Jason Mulholland (U.S. Navy, Persian Gulf); and to all our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines (and let's not forget our Coast and National Guardsmen!) who serve on our territory and all over the world, who put themselves in harm's way daily to defend our lives and liberty and those of our allies, and most especially those who have given their lives in such service, I say a humble and heartfelt "thank you." May we and our nation be and remain worthy of your sacrifice, your strength and your courage.
