Just got to spend most of last weekend at our first Dragon Con since before moving overseas four years ago, and managed to get in a few hours of open filking on Sunday night, at the ungodly late start time of 1:00 AM (!!), before we had to go home and crash. D*C's filk track always seems to inspire me to write new stuff, and this time appears to have been no exception. The following is original, melody to follow.

The innocent child that was bartered to Drogo

I haven't followed GoT since the first season, but I love, love LOVE this song.

I almost wish I did follow the series. This really needs to be sung by a woman with a strong voice - and I'm a "female baritone". Although you probably know plenty of women with more performing experience than I have (up to and including a well-known cat breeder with a 12-string guitar).

I haven't even tried to follow Game of Thrones, in print or on screen, and I am hugely impressed by this lyric and really really want to hear it.
