Finally heard from the better half by phone about sevenish this evening EDT, a half hour after she finally got to Dar es Salaam, safe but exhausted and bed-bound. The place she's staying gives her a lovely view of the Indian Ocean to wake up to each morning for the next six weeks; check it out here. She's about seven hours ahead of Atlanta time (eight once Daylight Savings Time ends at 2 AM this Sunday; don't forget to set your clocks back!) and is working 10+-hour days Monday-Friday, so keep all this in mind should you wish to call her.
