Nice filk, though as a car fan the trailers for "Cars" never answered my deep philosophical questions in re "machinae vivantes" (living machines) in the way "Toy Story" did, so I never wound up seeing or being attracted to the movie.

Like, if these automobiles are life forms, what is their purpose in the environment? Do they exist in and for themselves or do they serve something/someone in a kind of symbiosis? Are they predators, prey or sentients? Who/what is their creator? How, or do they reproduce? How do they feed themselves, and where does their food/fuel come from? Are biological beings absent from their universe or do they exist on some other plane which intersects with theirs? And do such beings control these vehicles or do they just hitch rides like the Fremen ride the sandworms on Arrakis?

How can I watch a film that doesn't answer these questions in its promos?
