thatcrazycajunI've been spending way too much time at the Songbird's new nest across town when not at work, and we've been doing stuff together in and out of there that has kept me from doing much online. With that in mind, in case there's anyone left who (like us) hasn't yet heard who won this year's Pegasus Awards last weekend at the Ohio Valley Filk Fest, here are the 2009 winners:
Best Filk Song: "Wreck of the Crash of the Easthill Mining Disaster," Brooke Lunderville
Best Classic Filk Song: "Still Catch the Tide," Talis Kimberley
Best Performer: Heather Dale and Ben Deschamps
Best Writer/Composer: Vixy and Tony, aka Michelle "Vixy" Dockrey and Tony Fabris
Best "A Little Bit of Country" Song: "Stray Dog Man," Bill Sutton
Best "A Little Bit of Rock N Roll" Song: "Six String Love," Vixy and Tony

vixyish and tfabris for joining a rarefied club and winning TWO Peggies in the same year; and to bedlamhouse for the win by "Stray Dog Man"; it's about frakkin' time that song got a Peggie...not that Bill doesn't already have a closetful!
