...and I may need a TARP loan to get them back. As noted yesterday, I haven't been on LJ in at least two weeks, so if you posted anything you really wanted me to see, assume I've missed it. I shudder at the thought of how long it'll take to scroll back through that many days' worth of postings by my already-ginormous, ever-growing friends list. (Sincere apologies to all the friends whose birthdays I missed noting, and I hope you all had good ones.)

So help me out, here, willya? Pick the one or two most important things you've posted in the past couple of weeks and put a condensed Reader's Digest version here. No crises at work lately, though I'm still trying to find my own wheels since the Songbird's green car died on me this past summer. And we haven't been out to much that's fun lately, aside from the Norcross Art Festival last weekend and catching up with our returning fave TV shows. What's doing in your neck of the woods?

Probably the most notable happening for us in the past couple of weeks was my springing "Wreck of the Crash of the Easthill Mining Disaster" on a bunch of traditional folkies last weekend.

Believe it or not, they were actually highly amused... ;-)

Sunday before last, I fell over my own feet, and gave myself a gash in the forehead which took 34 stitches, also sprained my wrist so I've not written very much since. The arm's recovering nicely (I'm using both hands to type this), the stitches are out (and to my relief the cut hasn't scarred enough for me to have to field Harry Potter jokes for the rest of my life). Oh, and there's a planet where it rains iron, after much confusion finally got to register http://www.vdrcc.net for my church website which I edit (and discovered that instead of 5 Gig, Hare Link is now giving me 10 Gig of server space - of which I'm only using a few Meg but what the heck, nice of them), and an entertaining slant on Disney Princesses which I somehow doubt will be the result of Dizco's acquisition of Marvel but what the hey....

I had the Traveling Fates in concert in my basement last night, w/ a houseful of good friends, some of whom were newcomers to the music of [livejournal.com profile] s00j, et al. It was fabulous and I was sad to see them leave this afternoon. In earlier musical goodness, [livejournal.com profile] sweetmusic_27 stopped by for a visit and rehearsed w/ Wild Mercy, where we worked up a kick-ass arrangement for the Pegasus nominees concert, and then Wild Mercy got to participate in a benefit concert for a friend who's recovering from a stroke (and the medical bills that tagged along). So it's been a very musical couple of weeks, which makes me happy. :-)
