The citywide flooding appears to be worsening; Northside Drive, not far from me, is under yards of water in spots. If you live around here, please let me know you're okay ASAP. Thank you.

It took me an hour to get home this evening. It usually takes about 10 minutes. The traffic light at Cheshire Bridge & Lindbergh/La Vista has been out all day.

Thankfully, the apartment complex I inhabit is on fairly high ground overlooking Interstate 75 and behind a good-sized hill. Normally that hill is an exhausting nuisance to climb coming home on foot...but now I've never been happier to have it there. I am indoors, provisioned and (so far) still have electricity.

Eeep. Y'all be careful.

We get our share of flooding out here, but not like that within the city limits...

YA reason I'm too happy to be *from* Atlanta...

I'm glad you're ok. I hope it stays that way.

It took me 6.5 hours to get home last night, and I didn't even attempt to head back to work this morning. Since they've opened 575 back up, I should be ok to work tomorrow, unless the flooding starts again.

Nope, we're dead! (sorry, humor in poor taste. We're fine, minimal flooding in our area. I have to take a different route to work, waaaah, but otherwise we've been pretty much unaffected, mostly since our commutes are so VERY local.) I'm glad you're doing ok!

Glad to see you're on high ground - thought of you when I saw the news so had to check in.
