MoveOn.org's Call to Blog
Oct. 29th, 2006 10:33 pm
As regular readers will know, I have been helping out with a phone tree set up here in Atlanta by MoveOn.org as part of its "Call for Change" program to mobilize the progressive vote for the elections coming in two weeks. Now they are asking members to include a mention of the program in their blogs, as a further way to spread the news. Since I can (and I'm feeling guilty about not having gone out to canvass with local Democrats this weekend), I'm gonna. Therefore, anyone who's already read my earlier entries can disregard the graphic at left.If you're new to this LJ, or haven't read the earlier entries, then fergossakes go RIGHT NOW to where this graphic links and find ways to help. Sure, the Democrats appear to have an edge right now, but it ain't over until the fat lady waddles out of the voting booth...and even DNC leadership acknowledges that for all the progress that's been made, the Repulsives are still "light-years ahead" of them in the get-out-the-vote ground game. Let's not let them out-organize and out-mobilize us again this time, mm'kay? Pass the word.
