I would only add a response to his last comment about it being "an uneasy time to be...a passenger on Spaceship Earth": To paraphrase Spider Robinson, there are no passengers on Spaceship Earth (with the possible exception of dumb animals). We are all members of her crew...and it's past time we took up our duties as such.
