Remember a day or so ago, when I warned you right here in this space that recent developments on the marriage-equality front would prompt a fear-uncertainty-doubt campaign in Iowa and elsewhere that would make last year's California "Yes on 8" campaign look like leaflets at the Sunday school picnic by comparison? Visit this page of the Courage Campaign's website and witness me proven right already.

This time, the fundies (their nom de guerre this week: "National Organization for Marriage") have filmed a lie-laden television ad that brazenly pushes the fear button in every way possible, down to the lightning and thunderheads animated in the background. It's being aired all over the country starting today. Watch it if you can stand the sudden spike in your blood pressure it will doubtless cause...and then think about what you can do to aid in the fight against manure-spreading of this sort.

Deprive them of finances.
Take away the Mormon church's tax exempt status.

This is the kind of ad that makes you angrier the more you think about it.

I donated to the Human Rights Campaign back during Prop 8 -- and wound up enormously unimpressed with how they handled their campaign. Any alternatives you know of?

Speaking as a transwoman, I have (to put is mildly) issues with H.R.C.

http://www.nationformarriage.com/ is available. I'd gladly donate to buy that domain, and put out the truth about marriage equality; namely, gay marriage doesn't threaten heterosexual marriage. (However, our economy is going to end more marriages than you can shake a stick at.)
