Severe weather check-in
Feb. 18th, 2009 09:03 pmFor anyone who has been hearing about the tornado watches and warnings, severe thunderstorms and hail happening in the Atlanta metro area and worrying, I am safe at home and so far the only way I have been affected is that the Internet access has gotten a tad hiccuppy. I attribute this to possible downed phone lines.
Anyone else from this area who wishes to let people know they are all right can feel free to post here.

Now, I do understand that some folks actually *like* it there, with the heat and the tornadoes and the hurricanes.... just that this Johnny Reb ain't one of'em. I like the food and the genteelness and football and a number of other things... most of which are portable. (Waffle House, alas, ain't. And Krispy Kreme didn't used to be. :)
Now, sure, Mother Earth tends to get a rumbly in her tumbly every once in a while, and do a little shake rattle and roll.... but you can build for that. Tornadoes? Not so much.

Date: 2009-02-19 04:27 pm (UTC)I really do worry about my friends in far away places, when stuff like this is happening. So often, we only hear about the bad stuff. It's good to have good news sometimes.
