Sick as a dog today, no more ChattaCon. Bleah.

Spent yesterday attending ChattaCon, a 90-minute drive up the road in Chattanooga...and fighting off a miserable head cold, complete with runny nose, sneezing, aches, coughing and fatigue. Actually sat in the lobby of the hotel for an hour to semi-sleep, I felt so crappy. So when it turned out only three or four people turned up for open filking, filkertom and I both decided to bail. (He had an even better excuse for being whipped, having had to perform or give panels most of his day.)

So I drove all the way back home last night and today spent the whole day in bed, alternating between reading, blowing my nose and sleeping. Only brought back into the world by the Songbird's call from Africa to make sure I was okay. Hoping I will be in better shape for work tomorrow morning, I apologize to Tom and anyone else who was hoping to see me back at the con today.

How was your Sunday? Hope it was more productive (and less of a mucus festival) than mine. Please talk to me.

My Sunday has been basically OK so far. After two months of being severely depressed, this has to be considered a drastic improvement.

That cold is going around and it's a doozy. Sorry to hear you've taken over the first shift. It gets better (until you get the nerve wrenching tongue cold sore from hell - which you hopefully won't get).

I've slept. Seen and listened to a hot guy in Switzerland talk. Half watched dumb action movies on mute. Eaten pureed dressing and gravy & gazed longingly at the fully cooked turkey in my fridge *sigh* that I apparently won't be eating any time soon. I'm taking small pain accompanied pleasure in my java chip frappuccino from DistantCosmicLightBucks.

Glad I got to see you for that long, m'friend. And I'm so sorry you're sick, but I kinda thought that was the way it was gonna go -- you looked like I felt last night, and you hadn't been performing all day. Get some more rest, feel better.

Arrgh, getting a cold at a con sucks worse than anything. For that matter getting a cold sucks anytime you get it.

Anyways, Chad and I went to see "Pictures at an exhibition" performed in a local concert hall-twas really pretty.

I did not have a mucous festival; I had another headache festival. Picked up Lydia from a sleepover, took drugs, napped, puttered around the house, did laundry, napped some more, fixed dinner, took more drugs, napped, puttered. Must go out tomorrow to get more drugs; I have no more pain meds and this headache has lasted for a week! I'm seeing my doctor on Wednesday, but I don't think he'll have much for me. Oh, well. At least the depression drugs are working.

Glad you had some fun on Saturday. I miss seeing you at Washington area cons! Take care of yourself while you're sick.

I just stayed home (except to do the weekly food shopping) and stayed inside all day. With the office move coming this weekend, ya know..................
