G minus 1 day and counting: Who's still coming? Who's not? Who's already here?

Sad news came a couple days ago: filkertom will not be able to attend GAFilk 11, which starts tomorrow, due to unspecified last-minute problems. His songs must be sung, and much strong drink quaffed, and great sides of barbecue-sauce-slathered meat consumed in his name. (Daily play-by-play will be provided; watch this space.)

In other news, our Interfilk Guest osewalrus, having had his program-book-bio problem handled, is winging his way here from Las Vegas and the annual Computer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this week. Some people are just gluttons for punishment, I guess. :-)

Anyone else planning to be here, or already arrived from out of town? The move-in is likely in progress even as we type, but the Songbird and I may not be able to help as she needs time to do last-minute stuff since she must fly home to Kenya on Sunday. And if you're within a reasonable drive or other transport, have the financial means and don't have anything better to do with your weekend, why not bomb on down here and sing with us?

Hey, if y'all want barbecue, y'all ought to send out to Sprayberry's in Newnan. Just don't do it on Sunday, they're closed. If you don't know their reputation, ask around... you'll get it. OM NOM NOM. :)

I'm taking a break from watching the Doctor Who - Music at The Proms special tonight. If someone can get a copy, hook up decent sized TV and a good sound system (with sub-woofer) you will be changed by the community viewing of this.

I got here last night as well, and for once I stayed at the hotel on Thursday night. I have to take our Interfilk guest food shopping later this morning (since I'm the one who lives closest to the store we need to go to and I'm going back to get a USB flash drive).
