My Thanksgiving may be lonely, but my Christmas won't. The Songbird, AKA
singing_phoenix, has just confirmed to me that (subject to final approval from her employers in CDC) she will be flying back from Kenya for the December holidays and will stay with me in Atlanta. And as a bonus, she'll stay long enough to attend GAFilk with me! So some of you will get to see her, hear her sing (yes, dear, you can still sing and they do want to hear you...tell her, guys and gals!) and catch up as well, that weekend if not before. She's arriving the 18th and staying through the day or so after the con. (I must emphasize, the dates are still tentative; her boss and the bureaucracy may not approve the entire time requested.)
Any other holiday gifts I could imagine getting (while certainly appreciated and by no means turned down...see my wish list) understandably pale in comparison.
