From the Huffington Post website:
"The Republican Party will begin airing a hard-hitting ad this weekend that warns of more cataclysmic terror attacks against the U.S. homeland. The ad portrays Osama bin Laden and quotes his threats against America dating to February 1998. "These are the stakes," the ad concludes. "Vote November 7."

Disgusting. Reprehensible. Meretricious. I can't even come up with adjectives adequate to describe this despicable tactic. And it isn't even the first time they've done this sort of thing. Evidently "Vote Democrat and you'll be killed by terrorists" works really well for them.

I am so going back to work at the MoveOn.org phone center next week.

I'd love to see a counterad by the Dems that runs something like this:

"Osama bin Laden. Terrorizing the US since 1998. When Bill Clinton tried to kill him, the Republicans laughed it off and got in his way. When George Bush had him cornered, he let him go. Still at large. Thanks, George. Thanks, Republicans!

Vote Republican and the terrorists go free."

Or This

A day after George Bush conceded for the first time that America may have reached the equivalent of a Tet offensive in Iraq, the Pentagon yesterday admitted defeat in its strategy of securing Baghdad.
