Granted, that's because I've had a Maryland Renaissance Festival outing planned for this weekend for several months now, and even if that wasn't there, I'd probably be going to Capclave, the Washington SF Association's convention.

Eep, I hope that overlap isn't a regular occurence...*Googling* No, looks like they're always close (within two weeks of Halloween), but don't necessarily fall on the same weekend. Good.

Anyway. It's not so much pity, in my case, as a surfeit of choices. Sorry...
