scruffycritter's link to a video from Country Music Television's Crossroads show a few months back featuring Martina McBride watching none other than Pat Benatar wail the living daylights out of Martina's spousal-abuse-revenge anthem "Independence Day" (which has now made it to YouTube, BTW), you should see this one. Here, also on YT, is a recent class of La Benatar's alma mater, Lindenhurst (Long Island) High School's student choir, where she got her start, doing a free concert given to promote a brand of sunscreen in NYC's Union Square (no date given). The video opens with the kids by themselves, doing a recent Sheryl Crow hit, then segues into a second number...with a very familiar bob-haired lady coming out from stage rear to lead them in one of her own anthemic hits. (When you get a double thumbs-up from the guitar goddess who gave us half of the 1980s' biggest charting singles, you know you've got talent!)
