Memo to Dennis Prager: When you're in a hole, stop digging!

First, right-wing talk-show host Dennis Prager defended a man who shot a graffiti artist. Then Andrew Sullivan quoted Prager without comment, by way of letting the man hang himself with his own words. Now Prager is trying to defend his defense.

Prager needs to sit down and have his friends at the NRA explain that there is no such thing as "shoot to wound". You fire a gun at someone if, and only if, you are willing to kill the target and have a legitimate justification for doing so.

You know, if your response to a criminal act is such that the NRA needs to step in and act as the voice of reason, you've pretty much voided the warranty on your brain, and should be stripped naked, stuffed in a box and dropped off somewhere along the Amazon, where you can hurl your feces at the other monkeys unrestrained.
