IMDB informs me here of a video produced about a decade ago called Doctor Who's Lust in Space, a copy of which I would dearly love to lay hands on. The series is set in a courtroom wherein the classic Who series is put on trial on charges of sexism towards its female characters. Some of our favorite actors from the show appear as themselves, and a couple (Nick "The Brig" Courtney and Mark "Turlough" Strickson) appear both as officers of the court and as themselves, along with members of the production crew, to give testimony. Nowhere on the IMDB page, however, do I see any clue as to when/where it was aired, nor its availability for purchase in any format. Can anyone help me locate this? Found through a user in the DW LJ community. Thanks anyhow, everybody.

absolutely never heard of it. Sounds like it might have been one of the many "unofficial" productions that cast, crew and fans put together during the long hiatus, in which case it never aired, but was probably available only as a video and only really available to fans through fan channels.

A quick google search brought up this link to it on Amazon's UK site: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Doctor-Who-Whos-Lust-Space/dp/B00004CWG7

From the customer reviews there, it may not be something that everyone would enjoy. While I'm interested in seeing it just to say that I have, I'm not willing to pay quite that much to have a used VHS tape shipped overseas.

Never heard of it. But I did know of a woman named cheryl who raised a big stink in the '80s on rec.arts.drwho complaining that there wasn't a female Doctor. (Not counting Romana, of course.)

I think that can be explained by Tom Baker's comment about the next Doctor.
