A silly moment reading a headline

"140 homes hit by Virginia tornadoes."
While not wishing in the least to trivialize anyone's suffering, what does it say about me that on first glance, I thought it said "140 homes hit by Virginia tomatoes"? Doubtless that would be almost as newsworthy a story, especially considering the Old Dominion is much better known for growing tobacco than tomatoes.
