1. My username is ThatCrazyCajun because I couldn't re-use the username attached to the old LJ account I lost access to when I quit AOL and LJ never seems to discontinue unused accounts even after years and years.
1a. My name is Matthew because my late mother was very Catholic; she named me for the sainted Apostle, and because the name in Hebrew means "God's gift."
2. My journal is titled "Stumbling Towards the Light" because that's what a lot of my life seems like: forever stumbling through darkness to reach the light of...understanding, being a better person, happiness, take yer pick. (And barking my shins one hell of a lot along the way.)
3. My subtitle is "This is who I am. This is what I care about" because that's what this journal is for.
4. My friends page is called "People I enjoy hearing from" because (mostly) that's what they are.
5. My default userpic is my own mug at work because it's an unusually good shot of me and I think people should have a face to go with the rants (unless there's a content-based reason to use a different pic).
