thatcrazycajun: Image of Matt with a rainbow facemask on (Jonathan Coulton)

Regular readers will recall I posted back this last October about the seven-different-kinds-of-awesome concert put on down here by Jonathan Coulton and Paul & Storm at the Five Spot in Atlanta's oh-so-hip Little Five Points nabe. A packed house, including Your Humble Correspondent, [personal profile] filkferengi, [profile] voiceofkiki and [profile] spambrian, had metric buttloads of fun; so did the artists, who promised to come back real soon.

Real soon, indeed...not even five months later, word comes now that the man behind such demented soft-rock hits as "Code Monkey," "Skullcrusher Mountain," "Creepy Doll" and "Ikea" and the duo responsible for "Nugget Man," "My Fantastic Plastic Girl," "Strip Club Daddy" and "Opening Band" are returning to the ATL. Their new joint show is March 22 at 8:30 PM, this time at the somewhat larger Variety Playhouse, under whose auspices they were booked last time. (Evidently the bookers caught the clue from the last show being SRO that our boys need more elbow room.) TicketBastards has the ducats already on sale here if you don't mind paying their squeeze, but you better frakkin' believe I'm headed down to the box office tomorrow for mine.

Planning to attend by myself if absolutely necessary; but if anyone wants to make it another group, I'm game.

I will be there with bells on. I've known about this for days now. I wanted to be the one to break the news. Damn you, Matt. :P

Consider it karmic payback for your not having e-mailed me or posted here the picosecond you found out they were coming back, sweetie. You had to let me find out from friggin' Facebook?! I thought we were friends? :-)

I had my reasons. ;) You were first on my list to notify, though. *huggles*

You lucky so-and-so.... actually, you *doubly* lucky so-and-so, I *lived* for the better part of a year in L5P and was never smart enough to go see anybody in any of the pubs there... 'course, I was young and not quite so worldly wise as I am now, which, given that I'm just really learning the way things work, doesn't say much for then atall....

You better get there early. :)

Maybe it's just me, but I get the sneaking suspicion these guys are starting to really take off... ?

Unfortunately I did not originate that nickname; I got it from someone else years ago (possibly Sutton, but I can't swear to it). But thank you for the compliment. If I tried to copyright, either the person who did or TM themselves would probably haul my skinny Cajun ass into court.
