Apropos of the ongoing TV writers' strike

This would have been the same Fred Allen who more famously said, "Imitation is the sincerest form of television." Of course, this could have been partly sour grapes on his part about his medium's being eclipsed as the primary form of home entertainment...but alas, we shall never know.
