So...no bites yet on the extra ticket to see Jonathan Coulton and Paul & Storm on the evening of the 9th (which is to say, this Friday) here in Atlanta.
autographedcat and
kitanzi begged off for differing reasons, and nobody else has responded to inquiries here or in e-mail.
For any who still don't know who these guys are, Jon wrote "Re: Your Brains," "Skullcrusher Mountain" and a whole lotta other nifty original silly songs, as well as a cover of Sir Mix-A-Lot's rap hit "Baby Got Back" that's the funniest since Richard Cheese's lounge-style version. Paul & Storm are two of the guys from the old Da Vinci's Notebook a capella group and every bit as hilarious. (They were trained by the leader of The Bobs, so you know they got the chops.)
$16 by cash, money order, check or PayPal puts you in the audience with me,
voiceofkiki,
filkferengi and (we hope) assorted others Friday night at the Five Spot, 8:30 PM (on Euclid Ave. in Little Five Points, next door to the Varsity Playhouse). Seating is open so far as I know, and the club is nice and intimate (read: small), so visibility and hearability should not be a problem. Anyone within reasonable driving distance who wants to buy the ticket and attend but needs crash space can sleep on my couch gratis if buying. You have until 6:30 PM Friday, two hours prior to showtime, to grab it.
