With thanks to
mrpsyklops for passing the linkage along via Facebook, here are two articles that abso-frakking-lutely nail the bastards in the Republican party and the conservative movement who are currently pulling out all the stops to derail the proposals for health-care reform now making their way through Congress. The first is from Steven Pearlstein of The Washington Post:
"I try not to question the motives of people with whom I don't agree. Today, I'm going to step over that line."
And the second is from Jim Wallis, founder of Sojourners magazine and author of the book God's Politics, by way of HuffingtonPost.com:
"What we need is an honest and fair debate with good information, not sabotage of reform with half-truths and misinformation."
Both of them are worth your time and worth spreading around. The righties (or at least some of them) are determined that not one thing this President and Congress attempt shall succeed, most especially health-care reform, and are willing to do and say absolutely anything to accomplish their fell designs. Let's not let them get away with it, mmkay?
