So the early reports are that Mormon Boy has won the Republican primary in Nevada today. Given that state's proximity to the home state of his faith, Utah, one should not be terribly surprised; it remains to be seen if he can do as well in states not within shouting distance of the Salt Lake City Tabernacle.
According to Wikipedia's map of GOP results so far, this gives him two states (Michigan being the other). On the other side, their map of Democratic primary/caucus results to date shows the Former First Lady with likewise two states in the bag, despite her freshman Senate colleague Barack Obama's "January Surprise" in Iowa. South Carolina, also having a primary today, is still yet to be called.
Whaddaya think of how the race is shaping up? Or is it too early to make any meaningful judgment before Tsunami Tuesday (which by sheerest coincidence, just happens to be Mardi Gras Day this year)? (Actually, this post is mainly just an excuse to show off the spiffy new userpic I just created; like it?)
