Today's Earworm
Oct. 15th, 2007 11:25 amJust in case you missed my post about it at the end of Dragon*Con last month: If you want an inkling of just what kind of sick sense of humor the members of Emerald Rose possess, all you need to know is two things: 1) their reaction to their song "Freya, Shakti" being parodied by the Boogie Knights as "The Seven" (one of them practically peed his pants laughing while in the front row listening to the Knights gleefully wreck his song); and 2) that they are responsible for the hilarious atrocity against Celtic folk standards that is "Danny in the Jar" on their newest CD, Con Suite. I played it for my folkie Irish-descended Songbird in the car over the weekend, and was perversely delighted to see her go, "Oookayyy..." Now I can't get it out of my head; the boys were obviously having a buttload of fun recording it, and it shows. Go buy the damn disc, already.
