More Questions About Me
1. Any not-typically-seen piercings? Gods above and below, no. None at all, seen or unseen.
2. How old are you? 44, as of May 26 last.
3. Are you single or taken? Quite happily taken (by
singing_phoenix—Hi, hon!)
4. Fish? To eat, to look at or to catch? I haven't done either in quite a long while and haven't owned any as pets for even longer. I have looked at some in the nice big new aquarium we have here now.
5. Do you dream in color? Not sure; I usually don't even remember dreaming unless something really wild and/or scary happens in one.
6. Ever seen a corpse? Several, too many of them family and friends.
7. Reds, blues or purples? Blues (see #22 below). If the question is a political allusion, the same answer applies.
8. How did we meet? I'm not sure we have.
9. What's your philosophy on life and death? "Don't take life too serious; you'll never get out of it alive!"—B. Bunny
10. If you could take me anywhere for a day, where would we go? I'd have to check with the Songbird on that one unless you're a guy. Otherwise, we'd head to the seashore.
11. Do you trust the police? Generally, yes. A few bad apples, way outnumbered by the decent and conscientious ones. (Of course, had I been born with skin that wasn't white, my experience might have been vastly different...)
12. Do you like musicals? Love 'em, haven't seen nearly enough of them live. Les Misérables is my fave, followed by A Chorus Line, Camelot, Little Shop of Horrors and Evita. (I'm not sure whether to count The Rocky Horror Show, even though I know all its music and most of its book by heart, because I've only ever seen it in its filmed version.)
13. What are you more public about - your sexual habits or your financial habits? Probably about equal, which is to say only semi-public.
14. If you could change anything about yourself what would it be? I have a long, long list...
15. Would you cheat? At computer Scrabble, maybe. On a test or my sweetie, never.
16. What are you wearing? Dress shirt and slacks, dress leather belt and shoes.
17. Favorite artist? Probably a toss-up between Brian Bolland and Alex Ross.
18. Would you hide evidence for me if I asked you to? Depends on what kind and what for...and how good a friend you are.
19. What would you chose to do on the last day or your life? Everything I possibly could!
20. Which do you prefer - short or long hair? Short, for both genders. (Yes, there is something to be said for a long, luxuriant mane on a lady...but I've always been a sucker for the Audrey Hepburn gamine look.)
21. What's your favorite day of the week? Friday (tomorrow!).
22. What's your favorite color? Blue.
23. If you could bring back anyone who died before their time, who would it be? My mother, dead at 56 of cancer these last 12 years now.
24. Tell me one interesting/odd fact about you? I cannot whistle to save my life.
25. What was your first impression of me? Intelligent and fun.
26. Have you ever done drugs? For treatment of medical problems only; only recreational use I recall was passing around a joint at my very first SF convention in 1977.
27. Will you post this so I can fill it out for you? It's here, innit?
28. John or Paul? Specifics, please. The popes? The saints? The Beatles? Elton vs. Adrian?
29. Favorite thing about your oldest child (or pet)? No kids (that I know of..); have one cat I live with, and my favorite thing about him is when he quits fooling around in my bed and lets me sleep.
