Affectionately appropriated from
Age: 43
Band: Does it have to be a band, as opposed to a solo artist? If so, either the Boogie Knights or the Asylum Street Spankers; if not, "Weird Al" Yankovic.
Color: True Blue
Drink: COFFEE! "Black as the devil, hot as hell, pure as an angel, sweet as love." ~ Charles Maurice de Talleyrand-Perigord. (I would only deviate from the "black" part; my coffee must have creamer of some sort in it as I cannot stomach black coffee.)
Education: BFA Fine Arts/Graphic Design, Louisiana State University-Baton Rouge, LA, 5/1985
Food: Eggs and bacon for breakfast, a good roast beef sammich for lunch, and chicken or steak for dinner. And chocolate for dessert.
God: None. Raised Roman Catholic (comes with being born a Cajun, cher!), pissed-off militant atheist in late teens, more relaxed/tolerant agnostic since.
Hopes: A CD of my music sometime before I die, peace on Earth, my Songbird home from Africa sometime before the decade ends. (Not necessarily in that order.)
Inspiration: My Songbird, my family of choice (i.e., SF/fantasy and filk-music fandom), politics, hopes, dreams, desires, heroes real and fictional, or just a good laugh
[Unknown site tag]Job: Graphic designer, production artist, illustrator and Website designer
Kids: None that I know of... ;-)
Lover: My one and only Songbird,
singing_phoenix

Movies: Time After Time, Aliens, the Jackson Rings trilogy, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Wizards, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Wars: Episode IV-A New Hope, Galaxy Quest and Monty Python & the Holy Grail. (Again, not necessarily in that order.)
Name: Matthew (after the Catholic saint; like I said, growing up Cajun and growing up Catholic are essentially the same thing)
Obsession: Funny music
Poison: Alcohol is out these days for me due to medical reasons, so it would have to be Pepsi.
Quotation: "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people; to gain the affection of children; to learn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know one life has breathed easier because you lived. This is to have succeeded." —Ralph Waldo Emerson
Respects: People who display intelligence, strength of character, emotional maturity, and integrity.
Stance on something controversial: Pro-choice on abortion, pro-gay marriage, anti-Iraq occupation
TV show: Only one? Galactica both old and new, Doctor Who old and new, Star Trek in all its incarnations, Heroes, Boston Legal, Grey's Anatomy (and probably Kate Walsh's new spin-off too), Stargate: SG-1/Atlantis, Disney's Kim Possible, and all cartoon shows based on DC Comics superheroes (most recently Batman, Superman, Justice League/Justice League Unlimited, The Batman, and Legion of Super-Heroes)
Underwear: Briefs man from way back.
Virginity: Lost at around 22 years of age, after much fooling around with women without actually having a clue what to do.
Wants: See "Hopes" above. Also chocolate.
X: Sexual thoughts; the rest is nunuvyerdambizness.
Youth: Misspent and now just plain missed.
Zodiac: Gemini (which explains a lot to people who know me).
