AKICILJ: Faxing on a broadband computer
Jun. 20th, 2007 10:24 amCan anyone out there explain to me how one sends a fax from one's computer when it is connected to an "always on" Internet access point, such as phone-line DSL, T1 or ISDN? (If it turns out you do it just the same way as if your computer wasn't hooked up to one of these, I'm gonna feel so dumb...but let me have it.)

Windows XP has a modem protocol included (you just need to install it).
Even if the computer doesn't have a modem card built in, fax modems are dirt cheap. I may even have one kicking around.
Oh, not a stupid question.
I didn't know that XP had the capability to send modems. I thought I was screwed when I lost my copy of Winfax.
