And the list keeps growing... For the newcomer, this is the latest in my occasional series of posts about real people who show us all the best in humanity, in a time when we are all too often confronted with the worst. Reading our local paper is quite often a source of such stories for me, and today they dropped another doozy in my lap:
Atlanta Woman, Captivated by Tiny Amputee, Spearheads Circle of Help

This poor kid was born perfectly normal, and then lost all his limbs to bacterial meningitis. His parents were dealing with it all on their own...until they happened to take him to a party where pictures were being taken by a lady photographer with a heart as big as all of Georgia. Alas, I cannot find an online photo of the lady herself, but she does maintain a professional website with some impressive work:

I find it shocking that the paramedics didn't recognise the clear symptoms of meningitis when they were first called. That's not what one expects of paramedics - it's such a high profile disease.
