- Finally finding out that sick bastard Sylar's first name. (Gabriel? How inappropriately angelic...and I suspect that is no accident.) And damn the writers for making me feel even a teensy bit sorry for him. Even Hitler had a mother...which brings me to:
- Seeing Ellen Greene working again, even if she did have to be made up to look old as Sylar's mom. (You do remember her as the babe-a-licious Audrey in both the stage and film versions of the Little Shop of Horrors musical, right? Though you wouldn't have known it to see her last night.) I can't believe it's a coincidence that this ep aired the week before Mother's Day. And finally:
- Seeing Hiro refuse to let himself turn into a cold-blooded killer like Sylar or his future self: "Future Hiro killed so much, he forgot it should be hard." Right on, brother. Now he better pray he can find someone with powers to magic that katana of his back into one piece in time...unless he's prepared to time-shift back and grab it from his earlier self before it breaks.
