Courtesy of StumbleUpon.com, I just found out that someone is attempting to sell his childhood imaginary friend on eBay. No lie; the page is right here. The only thing more astonishing than what some people have the chutzpah to try and sell is what some people will actually buy.

I thought ebay had a policy of not selling immaterial objects.

It's quite possible that the seller isn't really trying to make a sale--they just came up with something they thought was cool and funny and wanted some attention for their joke.

I'd insist on an escrow service to make sure the goods were delivered.

It's not technically immaterial

I looked at the auction, and in the questions the seller mentions that you will get an envelope with a list of this imaginary friend's likes and dislikes. Supposedly, the friend will be in there also.

Lovely how they get around the Ebay rules.
