Bad enough that most of my F-list is hooked on this damned show. Then [profile] singing_phoenix went and got me hooked too. And now NBC decides to take the thing off the air after tonight until April 23rd. SEVEN GODDAMNED WEEKS!!! What in God's name are they thinking?!? Just when a show is hot, you do NOT pull it for nearly two whole months! And on top of it all, look at all the cliffhangers they left us with (of course!)...
  • That fucking sadistic, homicidal maniac Sylar free, in possession of his full faculties, Dr. Suresh and his list, and now about to dissect poor Peter Petrelli?

  • Pete's bro' Nathan all on his own, trapped in the mob boss' hotel with a loaded gun and no guts to pull the trigger on him? (But I do have to give them props for picking Malcolm McDowell to play Linderman; he is so very good at playing baddies. Hard to believe he was ever that nice H. G. Wells in Time After Time all those years ago.)

  • Hiro and Ando teleporting into a future that appears very much as if all the Heroes have failed, and New York City is a smoldering, radioactive ruin? Not cool. As if Galactica killing off Starbuck last night wasn't bad enough...!
Sorry, Peacock people, but giving us a few seconds of sneak-peek at Spider-Man 3 is in no way, shape or form nearly enough to make up for this. A drug dealer who pulls his supply on his addicted customers is the worst kind of scum. I haven't been this pissed-off since the BBC took off Doctor Who for the 1980s hiatus. Time for a massive letter and e-mail bombardment of 30 Rock, I think.

Well...thinking about it.

Peter has as many powers as Sylar does, possibly more.

It's a fair fight.

I pray that you're right. This guy is almost a cartoon caricature of vicious lunacy, like the Joker without the clownish complexion; he needs to be put down once and for all.

I would note that (a) no apparent ouchie radiation, and (b) half-built new building, and at least three construction cranes visible in silhouette.

A) Radiation has to be really, really intense to take you down within a few seconds of exposure. We have no way of knowing how soon after the bomb goes off H&A arrived. If there are construction flamingos (sorry, but they always remind me of those more than cranes), one may assume it is at least several months after, time for the worst of the radiation to dissipate. Could still be enough to make you sick within weeks or months after exposure, if you hang out long enough.

B) I could be wrong about the nature of the bomb/explosive agent, but all Isaac's imagery seems to indicate at least a pony-nuke.
