As the collection of miscreants we laughingly refer to as the Congress of the United States once again debates defacing the Constitution to cater to conservative voters' fears about same-gender marriage, I have found this at the University of Florida's gay/straight alliance website:
http://grove.ufl.edu/~ggsa/gaymarriage.html
This page links to a poster in PDF format (doubled up with crop marks for easy repro) which addresses the top 10 arguments against allowing gay and lesbian couples state sanction in a hilarious, succinct and pointed way. It includes a much more concise version of my own response to those who use the tired old "give 'em an inch, they'll take a mile" argument that legalizing SGM will open the door to adult-child, human-animal and live human-corpse marriages: Any arrangement involving only consenting adults that provides adequate support and nurture for children should not be hindered by the state. This automatically excludes pedophiles, bestialists and necrophiliacs, as children, dumb animals and dead people cannot give informed consent. (We'll leave the group marriage/polygamy/polyandry argument for another day.)
