filkferengi (who just gifted me with a ton of free music last weekend) said it was all my fault she had gotten hooked on Tim's stuff.
So by way of saying thank you, here's another potential addiction for you: Doodoo Wah. If you like Tim, you ought to love these guys. One is a reporter for the Sacramento Bee in California when he's not performing; my exannezieger met him at a Poynter Institute seminar in Florida once, and I can thank her and Dr. Demento for turning me on to their music. Together, they write funny songs about subjects both topical ("Lorena," "Hanky-Panky in the White House," "Working for the Japanese") and less so ("Long-a-Sing," "B.A.R.F. Construction," "Odor in the Court") and have had them covered by the likes of Pinkard & Bowden and Ray Stevens. They also do funny commercial jingles and ads as a sideline.
