African Journal: A birthday trip down the coast

This is one of those "catching up" entries I promised, about the trip we took recently to Durban that I mentioned in my last entry.
( In which we get on the road far too late in the day, get soaked for a last-second hotel room. get splashed at the local Sea World-type park and get a taste of the pampas. )
