Some of you may recall awhile ago I posted that a decades-old friend of mine, former DC Comics editor Bob Greenberger, had just learned his grown son Robbie had leukemia. Tonight, thanks to Boogie Knights members
kradical and
boogiebabe_smap, I found out that the poor kid has just lost the battle and died last night at only 20 years of age. No parent should have to bury their own child, as both of my step-parents and my late maternal grandmother have learned to their sorrow.
My heart goes out to Bob and the rest of his family (including sister Kate, who is also in the Knights), and to Robbie's friends. Check with Keith or Sharon to see when/where any services are to be held and where any memorial donations can be made or cards/letters sent. And if you see Bob or Kate in person or have contact with them, please be tactful, supportive and understanding...though I'd guess they'll understandably be cancelling any convention appearances scheduled for the immediate future.
